The picture above graphically illustrates what my mother meant when asked what her grandparents looked like.  She said they looked like “Mutt & Jeff” (the cartoon characters). She said her grandmother was “as wide as she was tall” and her grandfather was “like Jack Spat who could eat no fat.”  He was Irish Catholic and she was Russian Jew.  I would like to know how they hooked up.

Owned land in Mason Valley, NV now owned by Misini near Wabuska, NV
Hired ranch workers for a dollar a day during the great depression


Bridge player
Hay fever sufferer

Died: Nov 1936 of pneumonia due to hayfever. Wet taking care of “stupid” turkeys in San Francisco, CA.
